There is a new product in the Jan-Apr mini catalog that you might have inadvertently overlooked while browsing, and that would be a real shame. Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks are an inexpensive addition to your craft room that can create so many wonderful designs on your cards.

The thing to realize about these masks is that the four small ones actually layer together to create a single image. Or use just two as I did above to make a fresh flower with leaves.

Stack them up
When you stack the four smaller masks one on top of the other you can see the larger areas of the flower with detail, and the larger areas of the leaves with their detail making it so easy to add depth.
My first card above used only Soft Succulent for the leaves but I used Petal Pink on the flower then added Pale Papaya around the center all with my blending brushes. I popped it on top of a piece of Dandy Designs DSP and a Petal Pink card base
Paper | Size |
petal pink | 4-1/4 x 11 scored @ 5-1/2 |
dandy designs dsp | 4 x 5-1/4 |
white | 4 x 5-1/4 |
white | 3 x 4-3/4 |
dandy designs dsp | 3-1/2 x 1-1/4 |
white | 3 x 1 |

For this second card, I went all out with different colors for all the layers, using Balmy Blue and Tahitian Tide for the flower, Old Olive for the leaves, and Daffodil and Mango Melody for the dots. I also used the hash marks with smoky slate as a background. I’ve not yet added a sentiment to this card and I’m not sure how I’ll use it, but almost any sentiment would work.
