During the 2019 Holiday Season Stampin’ UP! released a new Stamp & Punch Bundle called Merry Moose. This stamp set was so popular it sold out….like almost immediately. I was never on the Moose bandwagon so while I had customers who were disappointed they couldn’t get their Moose on, I wasn’t.

Stampin’ UP! brought the Merry Moose back this year in the Aug-Dec 2020 mini catalog and wow were folks happy so I decided to also purchase the bundle. This is my first card using it and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Moose aren’t fussy animals so I didn’t want my card to be overly busy so I kept the stamping simple and only one piece of DSP. I did have to do some dry embossing and die-cutting.
A few details
- The branch die from Forever Flourishing was cut using shaded spruce then sponged with more shaded spruce ink.
- The patterned paper is from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper Pack. In looking through the other papers in my stash I think many patterns in the Tis The Season DSP would work just as well.
- The moose was punched from Gray Granite but I turned him around so he was facing the left instead of the right.
- I used the small circle die from Tasteful Labels die set for the sentiment with a Layering circle die in Real Red behind.
- The shaded spruce cardstock is embossed with Tasteful Textiles – my new favorite embossing folder.
Measurements
The card base for this card is only 5-1/2 x 8 and scored at 4, so slightly narrower than a standard card base. Shaded spruce layer is 3-7/5 x 5-1/4, DSP is 3×5 and the whisper white is 3 x 3-1/2.
