I just really like Pool Party, White and Silver together. I think it speaks of crisp January days and a great alternative color scheme for Christmas. Today’s offering has all of that with just a bitty bit of bling-ness added right in. This card was also based on a sketch challenge for the Pals Paper Arts #172.
Here’s my card And the challenge that inspired it.
About the Card
1. I chose to use every last one of the Festive Flurry stamps and coordinating dies. It’s not really apparent but each layer of the snowflake (separated by dimensionals) is embossed with either white embossing powder or pool party. I even stamped on the piece of DSP used as a background paper for one of the layers, embossed with white.
2. Why stop embossing on the snowflake! I also embossed the sentiment from Joyful Christmas in Silver. I’ve used Silver embossing all over another project that I will be sharing in the future, a wedding invitation, and it really makes things pop.
3. The sketch calls for three horizontal elements. I did just a bit of a change-up and made the outer elements two layer with white and pool party with just a silver ribbon (not from SU) as the third.
I hope you like today’s early Christmas offering. I think I could make Holiday Cards all year long. Thanks for stopping by the Owlery today.
