Today’s card is a quick and easy get well card for a friend who will be having surgery soon. It’s also inspired by The Paper Players color challenge #167. The colors are pool party, midnight muse and whisper white.
About the card
1. Offsetting the Swallowtail stamp. This background stamp is quite large and while I wanted it featured on the front, I didn’t want it to be all centered and everything. That’s the great thing about large stamps, you don’t have to use the whole.
2. I used the This too shall pass sentiment from For You and cropped it with the Labels framelit. I cropped a second one in the same size in the Midnight muse to place behind it by cutting it in half and moving it out.
3. Final touches – pearls. Larger ones on the butterfly and smaller ones on the sentiment. This card came together really fast because it is a single layer. Sometimes simple is best.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you enjoyed it.
Lynn

Really nice, Lynn. I like the placement of the butterfly here – and all those pearls! Lovely.
This is a beautiful color pallet! I love this Swallowtail just stopping by on the corner of your card like that!
So glad you liked it Patti. I love your phrasing of ‘just stopping by’ so clever.

Beautiful, Lynn! I love how you accented the butterfly’s body with the pearls. Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!
