Ho Ho Ho Candle

Inspired by a post in pinterest from PaperBlossomsbyAmy.etsy.com I created this cute candle wrap. My husband said it looked like Santa so I figure I had hit my mark.

1.  Gold Foil worked great with the square framelits to make his belt buckle on top of basic black.  I used a retired embossing folder on whisper white over the cherry cobbler, and black buttons embellished a bit with cherry cobbler dazzling details for some sparkle.  The Scallop Trim border frames it all nicely on top, bottom and sides.   Lastly, I spritzed on Smooch Spritz for all over shininess.

2.  This is a faux candle, runs on batteries, which means all the added cuteness won’t catch on fire when it burns.  I’m also thinking of doing something like this with some mason jars and votive candles.  More on that later.

A stamping friend asked me last week, if I could have only three Stampin’ Up colors for the rest of my life (not counting whisper white and very vanilla), what three colors would I choose.   My choices were Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Pool Party.  I think I could come up with something for every season using combinations of those three colors.  Do you know what you would choose?
