Day 1 of Wedding Week at the Owlery – Fresh

Well, it is January and all you Brides-to-be and Mother-of-the-bride know what that means….  it is wedding planning time.  One of the ways I love to use my paper crafting talent is in creating Wedding invitations.  So, what better way to kick off the first full week of Jan but to show off some of my creations.

Nikki front with outer envelope

This invitation is a sample I prepared for Nikkie.  Her colors are purple and mint green and while she was initially thinking she wanted a pocket style invitation, which I’ll be sharing later this week, she opted for this gate fold style.

This invitation, with Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and Pistachio Pudding gives a feeling of fresh spring and lovely flowers. This invitation is soft with all rounded corners, flowers and swirls.  The invitation measures 5 1/2″ wide by 7″ tall.    I make all the envelopes for the wedding invitations I create so I can assure my bride that the total package will fit and coordinate.  Of course using the the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin’ Up! is perfect for creating all the envelopes I need.

Inside – The actual text of the invitation will go over the top of the stamped image.

Here is the back showing a pocket with the response card and envelope.  Nikki wanted a pocket for her extra pieces since she was not using a belly band.  No wedding invitation is complete with just the wedding details, there are response cards and envelopes, maps, registry information, lodging, etc.  For her design I created a pocket for the back to tuck in all those extra bits.  I carried the same stamp image from the front panels to the back pocket, the response card as well as the response envelope.Nikki response card and envelope

Here is what it looks like with them all neatly tucked in.
