On Monday April 28, 2014, Demonstrators across the US and Canada were invited to attend the new Stampin Up Catalog premier. A live simulcast event was broadcast to 40 movie theaters. Living in the Columbus, Ohio area, I was lucky enough to have a movie theater close to me so I could attend. It was fabulous. We heard from President and CEO Shelli Gardner and many talented and quite funny members of the Design Staff showed off some of the new items available for purchase starting June 2. One of the benefits, besides just being in a movie theater full of fellow stampers and getting to see the catalog reveal, was the goodies we all walked out of the theater with. 1) a copy of the new catalog, mine has already been thumbed through many times, with pages and items I want to purchase already marked. 2) a copy of our quarterly Stampin Up Demonstrator magazine and 3) A BRAND NEW FROM THE NEW CATALOG STAMP SET. Now that’s what I’m talkin about. Woo Hoo.
The stamp set is called Work of Art and has really great watercolor-like stamps you can use to create backgrounds for lots and lots of things. I love it already. Here is the card I created.
The just for You sentiment with the background swoosh is from the stamp set. And that is just the beginning of what you can do. Here is another of the background swooshes under the Thank You I used on the inside.
This card was really inspired by the current Pals Paper Arts color challenge using Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay and Real Red
I love these colors together. You know what else is great. They are totally the colors in the Fresh Prints designer series paper stack. 48 sheets, 12 designs double sided, all 4 1/2 x 6 1/2. The sheet size makes them great for card making of one or many and they all go so well together.
Enjoy your first weekend of May everyone. Thanks for stopping by today.

Lynn. Your card is a wok of art! I love this stamp set and can’t wait for it to arrive. The closest theatre to me was 4 hours away. Therefore, I did not go.
Pretty mix of patterns and colors!
Your work always amazes me and I have often used your ideas incorporated
into my own cards. Thanks… Keep the ideas coming
You were so successful pulling off all these patterns, Lynn! Thanks for joining us at PPA this week!
