If you have not seen Ann’s blog, or heard of her through other stamping sources you are sadly missing out. I’ve been a follower of Ann’s since before I became a demonstrator. Ann’s favorite go to style is beautifully vintage, however every card she makes is beautiful. Ann has a way of adding layers of interest and detail that may not all be apparent at first look. The more I look at her cards, though, the more I appreciate her talents for pulling together a card with many details, layers and textures, while never looking fussy or overdone.
In the stamping world, we have a saying. “CASE – Copy and Share Everything” and I think the Copying part is the sincerest form of flattery so I’ve copied one of my very favorite cards from Ann. She made this recently in remembrance of her own mother who passed away several years ago, making a card she knew her mother would have loved. To see Ann’s original post click Here.
I purposely set out to make as few changes to Ann’s stunning card as possible, with one exception. I needed the sentiment to be Happy Birthday and the length of the sentiment was too long to not overlap the left side panel. I also distressed the polka dot piece of DSP from the neutral stack and the smaller square panel of very vanilla with Baked brown sugar.
Whenever I add pearls to a project I always feel I am channeling my inner Ann Schach. I hope some day to be able to meet Ann in person and tell her what I’m sure many other stampers have already, and that is that she is an inspiration and a true artist. Thank you Ann, for sharing with us all.
Lynn

Beautiful job, Lynn! I also admire and follow Ann Schach for her beautiful vintage work. I think you have done justice to Ann’s card. I think I will have to try to CASE this gorgeous card as well! Thanks for sharing.
I also greatly admire Ann’s art. A wonderful tribute to a beautiful card!
Lynn, I couldn’t agree with you more! Ann is so talented. I too admire her artistic talents. I love how you duplicated one of her amazing “signature” cards. What a nice compliment!
