Today’s card is another shameless CASE (copy and share everything). This time from Handcrafting with Heather. She posted this card several weeks ago and I fell in love with her use of the blendabilities on the Christmas Bauble stamp playing front and center on this card. You can see her card Here. Here is my version.
Using blendabilities. I know not all of you have jumped on the blendability band wagon but let me just say the coloring on this ornament from Christmas Bauble would not have come out so vibrant and rich without the use of those markers. They allow for beautiful shading and subtle color changes that waterbased markers do not. Don’t get me wrong, I love my marvelous markers and use them all the time, but there are times, with shoes and markers for example, when it is nice to have options.
The Christmas Bauble was snipped with paper snips and placed over the top of the Ornamental Pine background stamped with Mossy Meadow. This is my go to green this season. Another alternative would certainly have been Always Artichoke. Like Heather, I stamped the sentiment on very vanilla and them shaped the ends with the Mosaic punch. I trimmed my paper a little more narrowly than she did but I’m still happy with the results of the ends on the sentiment.
When I was coloring this ornament, I also took the time to stamp several so I could 1) practice and 2) experiment with other colors. What do you think of this one?
Don’t forget the inside. I used the pinecones from Ornamental Pine to highlight the inside as well as the envelope (not shown).

Lynn
Wonderful use of color! I really like both but am partial to the Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana one – since you asked. 🙂 Great write-up.
this is just stunning Lynn! Love both of them! Hate (ok dislike) glitter and am going to try that glitter paper to see if it gets all over everything? Thanks 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of glitter either, but, glimmer paper is awesome. It cuts and does not make a mess!
