I was inspired by the Paper Players sketch last week. I thought the Timeless Love stamp set would make a nice circle background and since I wanted to make a card for my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding anniversary next week it was a perfect time to try.
I used the 3 1/2 inch circle framelit to crop out a circle using watercolor paper. I stamped the arch from Timeless Love twice for a perfect fit inside this circle. I stamped it with versamark then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. This helps hold the watercolor in the image. Using my aqua painter I painted the flowers with a high saturation of color. Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Real Red, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon.
I stamped the Happy Anniversary ( I love the look of this font) from Timeless Love in Black Memento Ink on Watermelon Wonder paper cut to 2.5 by 1.25. The black polka dot banner comes from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack cut to one inch. I used the Triple Banner punch for perfect flag ends on this and the 1/2 inch watercolor paper banner as well.
The cross hatch stamp comes from Awesomely Artistic ( one of my new go to favorites). I stamped it using Sahara Sand and added some Watermelon Wonder water drops stamped off twice from the same set.
The sketch called for thread under the circle so I used loops of linen thread on my card. It still looked like it was out of balance so three black candy dots in the top left corner did the trick. All in all, I’m thrilled with how this card turned out.
