Last week was my other granddaughter’s birthday. Hadley, or as my husband and I like to call her, Lady Hadley. She is Miss Avery, this blogs namesake, little sister and she is now a big girl at age three.
Hadley is adorable. And it isn’t just me that says it. Most everyone who meets her thinks she’s adorable too. What better for an adorable little girl than an adorable card for her special day.
Hadley loves Minnie Mouse. She also loves all the Disney Princese, Anna from Frozen and Doc McStuffins. I originally thought I would make a Minnie Mouse out of Punch Art but after trying for about an hour I recognized my limitations and went a different route. After printing an image of Minnie I traced and cut out her bow from polka dot Stampin Up Melon Mambo Brights Designer Series Paper (DSP) as well as a black layer. I highlighted the remaining with markers and mounted on another piece of DSP.
Inside I used the little letters dies twice, once in DSP and once in black to spell out her name. The happy birthday stamp and Heart are from watercolor words. I used the #3 from the File Tab Framelit to commemorate her milestone birthday.
Hadley loved it and it now sits on the girls dresser right next to the Elsa card I made for Avery last September. Pretty high praise for a 5 and 3 year old.
