Last post I shared a sympathy card using a watercolor technique with an embossing folder. To see that card, click Here. Here is another sympathy card I made, also using that same technique. In fact, the ink on the embossing folder was enough to do both pieces of the watercolor paper at the same time. Figured I might as well, rather than wasting it.
I was inspired by the July sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I chose Wild About Flowers for the focal point with Early Espresso and Blackberry List on Tip Top Taupe card stock. I really love this combination of colors.
The background is created by inking up the inside of the Boho Chic Embossing folder with Early Espresso, Blackberry Bliss and Tip Top Taupe with sponge daubers. I spritzed it with water so the ink runs and then pressed a piece of Watercolor paper onto the folder and burnish with my fingers.
This sympathy card is for a co-worker who lost his father this week. The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree and I thought appropriate for all of my co-workers to sign. I stamped the same images from the front, with Early Espresso stamped off twice and Blackberry Bliss stamped off twice.
