If you are a regular follower of my blog you might have noticed that there were no posts from me last week. Well, the reason why is that my husband and I had the opportunity to travel to California and attend the Super Bowl, live and in person. Even if you aren’t a football fan, you probably know that Super Bowl tickets are very hard to come by, unless you know ‘a guy’. Well, we don’t know ‘a guy’, but we know a guy who knows ‘a guy’. It was definetly a once in a life time- bucket list type of opportunity and we loved every minute of it. It didn’t hurt that I was totally rooting for the Denver Broncos, specifically Peyton Manning, to win, which they did.
Our adventure started when Steve’s brother and sister-in-law picked us up at the airport in a limo. It was Joe’s birthday so he splurged.

Our tickets included admission to the WheelsUp Tailgate party Saturday afternoon, very VIP. While there we saw lots of athletes and celebreties.
Steve and Mike Golic from ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the morning
Me and Mike Greenburg from ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the morning
Shaq walking through the crowd. He towers over everyone.
Guy from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
There were lots of others that we saw but couldn’t get picture with. It was then off to dinner and the hotel before the big game the next day.
We have arrived. Steve commented it was the first time he had ever arrived at a sporting event 4 1/2 hours early, AND LIKED IT!
We made it in. Now to find our seats.

Just before the half time show started. What a feat of planning and organizaion

You were out visiting in my neck of the woods. Glad we put on our best weather for you!! Looks like we might have rain this week. What an awesome experience.
What a great opportunity and fantastic pictures! I hope you are scrapbooking these 🙂 Just curious, how much taller is Shaq than Brian King?
