Beautiful Promenade

I had fun this past weekend working in my studio, creating lots of new projects to share.  This first set is using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and the coordinating Beautiful Layers dies.

A BRIAN KING CASE

This first card I cased from a recent post by Brian King.  I changed up a few of the items. The card base is Grapefruit Grove. The ribbon is also Grapefruit Grove and the sentiment and is different.  Here is a link to Brian’s card for comparison

THE LAYERS

The layers really make this card so I’ll share the measurements I used.  It is a wonderful start to any card.

  • Card Base – 8.5 x 5.5 scored at 4.25
  • DSP – 5 x 3.75
  • Mossy Meadow – 4.5 x 3.25
  • DSP 4-3/8 x 3-1/8
THE INSIDE

I wanted to dress up the inside of my card as well.  I stamped the large flower first in Petal Pink then the outline of the flower in Grapefruit Grove.  I didn’t realize until this project how well those two colors work together providing a light and medium shade of basically the same color.

CATALOG CASE

My second card is a case of the catalog sample on page 107.  Again I changed up the sentiment and the ribbon but essentially the same.  The Petal Promenade Designer Series paper is made of actual photographs taken by the Stampin Up Design team.  This marble is a sure match for Petal Pink. I stamped the small flower image first in mossy meadow and use the coordinating die to cut it out.  I then cut stamped it again in Petal Pink and hand snipped it to layer on top.
