Happy For You with Gatefold Blossoms

I don’t know about you but I love a creative fold on a card.  Some are very intimidating for sure, but others, like a gate fold card are cute and easy to create plus provide a wow factor.  

In the Annual catalog there is anew item bundle, Bouquet Blooms and Gatefold Blossoms bundle.  I quickly added it to my wish list for purchasing.  Once in hand I wanted to first try out making the sample found on page 167.   I watched the video below,  produced by Stampin Up, on how to use these unique framelits.

I hadn’t realized when I purchased the framelits that the size card created was a notecard size.  I figured there must be someone out in the Interwebs who has figured out how to make it into a full size card using the same basic technique but with a larger piece of cardstock.  Did some digging and found this video from Brenda Quintana with her size and technique measurements.

After that it was just putting my own spin on the card with a square sentiment and some cute flowers.  The sentiment combines two stamps from the Bouquet Blooms stamp set and fit perfectly inside the stitched square framelit.
