Bordering on Waterfront

In my final installment of my borders theme I’m sharing one of my favorite types of borders and drawn in border using grid paper, marker and a ruler and the stamp set I used is a returning favorite, Waterfront.

First stamping.  I used the very versatile stamps to make a beach scene.  I did practice on another piece of paper for sizing and placement since I was going to stamp this directly on my card base.

I used Seaside Spray and Blueberry Bushel on top and sahara sand for the sand.  Old olive on the palm trees.  In the pictures below I lined it up on the 1/2 inch line.

To make the border I lined my finished stamped card folded on grid paper.  I grabbed my see through ruler and placed it on top of the card and lined it up 1/4 inch in from the side of the card.

and used my blueberry bushel marker to draw a line.  I repeated on all four sides of the card front.

This is such an easy way to make a border but it adds so much to an simple card. Try doing the same technique to your envelopes for a little more added detail.

I hope you have enjoyed this week all about borders.  Join me again on Monday with a new theme using the Floral Essence Suite of products.  Until then…

Happy Stamping
