I know last Friday I said I was going to showcase Pressed Petals suite but when I went to pull it out I realized I had already used that suite. What I hadn’t used was the Woven Threads suite of products. The great thing about this suite is it incorporates all of the new 2019-2021 In-Colors Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile and Purple Posey. My card today uses Pretty Peackock and Purple Posey.
At first blush you wouldn’t think these two colors, teal and purple would be so lovely together but the background piece of Designer Series Paper blends them perfectly.
Unfortunately the Purple Posy stamp pad is not yet available from Stampin Up. There was an issue with the ink formula and they were not going to put a poor performing product on the market. But no worries. I incorporated purple posy with the background and the ribbon without needing the stamp pad.
I used the Woven Threads Die and 3D Embossing Folder combo to create the oval frame out of another piece of the DSP and stamped the sentiment right on the background.
For a final touch, I embossed the under layer of Pretty Peacock using the Tufted Embossing folder. Here is a better photo of that embossing. It added just the right of texture and interest to my card.
