Christmastime Is Here … Again

I’m back again today with two more projects from the Christmastime is Here Suite from Stampin Up. The suite is available for purchase on November 1 and will be available for a month.  Friday I shared two cards using this suite of products.  You can check them out here.

The Christmas time is here suite is an elegant set of products with Christmas Roses, gold accents and beautiful images.  There is one large line image perfect for coloring and a large die to cut it out.  On Friday I shared two cards where I cut out the Designer Series Paper on one and watercolored on the other.  Today I’ll be sharing two cards, one is stamped and the other I colored with Stampin Blends.

The suite comes with two stamp sets, one is a large line drawing on red rubber.  The other stamp set is Photopolymer DistInktive images that coordinate with the line image and several sentiments.

Using Stamps and Ink

Christmastime is Here

  • Stamped first with Mossy Meadow ink
  • Use the photopolymer stamps to fill in the color.  I suggest using the stamparatus for stamping the large line image.
  • Restamped the line image to make it show more clearly.

There are many stamps included in the set.  I inked each with the color I wanted for the image.  I found the best way to ink these DistInktive stamps is by using a sponge dauber to add the ink.  The sponge dauber will allow the shading of the image to show through without overpowering.  It does better even than stamping off.  I used Cherry Cobbler for the roses and berries, mossy meadow for the leaves and early espresso for the pinecones.

This suite looks gorgeous with gold accents.  I chose to cut the lattice die out of gold foil and heat emboss the sentiment with gold embossing powder.  Some gold glitter enamel dots and gold ribbon finish it off nicely.

Using Stampin Blends

Christmastime is Here

I think this is my favorite card of the bunch.   I stamped the large line image using the Stamparatus with Soft Sea Foam on a very vanilla card base and used Stampin blends to color.  Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaron for the leaves, Crumb Cake for the pine cones, Real Red for and Cherry Cobbler for the roses and berries.  I used the stamparatus to add back the lines.  I colored each area with the Stampin write markers.  Mossy meadow on the leaves, Cherry cobbler for the roses, early espresso for the pinecones.  I’m thrilled with how this card came out.

I stamped the sentiment with the stamparatus because I wanted to use two colors on the stamp.  The stamp is a photopolymer and while you can color them with Stampin write markers,  the color tends to pool and not lay evenly on the image the way it does on a red rubber stamp.   The stamparatus meant I could color and stamp multiple times.

Christmastime Is Here products will be available November 1.
