It’s the Sentiment for the Pals Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects where “It’s the Sentiment that Counts.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

It's the Sentiment

When I first learned that this month’s blog hop was “It’s the Sentiment that counts” I immediately invisioned my card, combing the phrase from It’s a wonderful Life with bells. That is one of my very favorite movies at Christmas time.

Watercolor paper and a watercolor wash made the perfect background. I added strokes of water to the paper first, then dipped my wide brush aqua painter into some watered down shaded spruce ink and touched it to the paper. Remember to dry it fully before stamping. I used a heat gun to speed the drying time.

The bells are all from the new stamp and die bundle (save 10%) Sounds of the Season. There are four bells included in the die set and I’ve used all four on my card. I also added some pine boughs also from the set and some gold cord also from the full Wonder of the Season suite.

To create the background I used a piece of Tis the Season 6×6 DSP with a subtle pattern and dry embossed it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D folder. it changed the DSP completely, in a good way.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 14th when our theme is “Tag, You’re It!” Participants will showcase tags or 3D items that will be great for gifts for any occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
