So Much Love

Even though it is November and we are all thinking about Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannaka, and the other end of year holidays, we can’t forget that birthdays still happen and need to be celebrated this time of year too. I pulled out a new to me stamp set from the Annual Catalog, So Much Love to create a birthday card to share today.

So Much Love

So Much Love is full of line art designs just waiting to be colored. but I wanted to do it a bit differently this time. My technique is called whitewashing. Stamp your image using Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed with white powder then use an aqua painter and white craft ink and ‘color’ the image.

So Much love

I used Watercolor pencils to then color the So Much Love image with Old Olive or Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, and Cherry Cobbler. I also used a bit of white as shadowing.

My sentiment from All Things Fabulous is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white. The background whisper white is dry embossed with Dainty Diamonds also from the Annual Catalog. Some Poppy Parade/Gold ribbon and Pearls finish it off.

The inside is simple and pretty with the smaller image from So Much Love stamped off twice in Memento Tuxedo Black then the Happy Birthday stamped over top.

An oldie but goodie

Here is an oldie but goodie from 2013 where I also used the Whitewash technique.
