From Beginner to Avid crafter with Paper Blooms

Only a few weeks left to get your hands on those free products from Stampin’ UP! in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Today I’m showcasing the free Designer Series Paper Paper Blooms. It coordinates with the Pierced Blooms stamp/die bundle in the Jan-Jun mini catalog. Here, let me show you.

I’ve created three cards for you today, all using a basic layout but each one targeting a different type of crafter and all using the Paper Blooms (free with $50 purchase) 12×12 designer series paper and the Happy Thoughts stamp set. All the paper measurements are down below.

Beginner Paper Blooms

This first Thinking of You card is for the beginner crafter. Simple stamping on a piece of cardstock then punched out with the Timeless Label punch. I’ve layered it over the top of another piece of cardstock punched with the Story Book Punch.

Casual Paper Blooms

Next is the Casual crafter card. Same paper size and stamp set but with some added die cutting. The paper blooms DSP coordinates with the dies allowing me to die cut the flower from the DSP. You might also notice that I have colored in random flowers on this piece of the DSP which in it’s original form is all blue and white. I colored in flowers with Rococo Rose and Soft Sea Foam stampin blend markers.

Avid Paper Blooms

Finally the Avid crafter card where I went to town on the die cutting by using ever die included in the set cropped out of Seaside Spray cardstock then laying them around the edges to form a background. Here is a closer look.

For some added creativity I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of 1 x 4-1/2 cardstock then cut a piece of the Seaside Spray ribbon in half lengthwise and used it as a border.

All cards shown are 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
DSP measures 3-1/4 x 4-1/2
Cardstock layer under DSP 3-3/8 x 4-5/8
Background layer 4 x 5-1/4
