Okay, so I’m not a big fan of Ladybugs in my home or the millions we get in our cabin in the woods but aren’t they just the cutest on a card. I’ve got a quick and easy Notecard for you today that is sized perfectly for a couple of flying Ladybugs.
Stampin’ UP! released a new Stamp/Punch bundle, Hello Ladybug. The ladybug builder punch creates the body and the wings all in one go or separately as I did today…more on that in a moment.

Tips for stamping and punching
There is a stamp for the body of the ladybug but I went the quick and easy way and punch the body from some Retired Black Foil paper. The bodies are all black and shiny and perfect on my card.
The stamp set includes a two-step stamp for the wings. I wanted red wings with black dots and it was easy enough to do with my Stamparatus.
First, mount the solid background stamp on one side of your Stamparatus plate and ink up with your color of choice, I selected Poppy Parade. I used the Stamparatus for this part because I wanted a really solid ink color for the Poppy and the Stamparatus allows me to stamp it multiple times to get that saturation.
Next, flip the plate over. Line up the Dots stamp on your poppy parade stamped image. It’s not too difficult since it is a see-through photopolymer. Pick up the stamp with the plate and ink that baby up with Memento. Again, you can stamp as many times as needed in order to get a good image.
If you notice the size of my paper and the placement of the stamp? I wanted to be able to stamp two sets of ladybug wings on one piece of paper and be able to punch them out without a lot of fussing with the paper.
