What’s not to love about free products? Friendly Hello Stamp/Designer Series Paper bundle, free with $100 purchase is truly a bundle to love. The stamp set and the DSP work on their own but is even more amazing when you stamp directly onto the DSP. Yup, you heard me right. Stamping on the DSP. Let me show you how.
Friendly Hello DSP is full of soft spring colors and images. How about that bird and branch? So pretty, colored with Stampin blends right onto the DSP. But after I colored the image, I stamped it again using Gray Granite with the stamp that matches it perfectly. That gave the image a bit more definition than the printed image from the paper. I snipped it out and popped it onto a circle cut from 2021-2023 Shimmer vellum. I’ve highlighted the image I colored and stamped in the picture below.
Now that my bird and branch were finished, I went through my stash to determine what might go well as background for my Friendly Hello card. I selected a sheet from the DSP, using both sides for the base layer. Then I pulled out my new Beautiful Shapes dies and those awesome Hexagons. I selected the two largest hexagons and cut them from Fresh Freesia and Pool Party cardstock then ran both through the new Gingham embossing folder for added texture. Finished off with a Gray Granite and white embossing powder sentiment from the stamp set and some new Hexagon Shapes. Done and Done.
