There is a new stamp set in the annual catalog that I will admit is not for everyone, but for me, it was perfect. Places in the Heart shows two images of a mother and child. One with a toddler, and one with a baby. The baby was what got me. It looked just like my daughter and her one-year-old son. I had to get it even if I only made one card to send to her using it.

My grandson loves to be held this way, and what you can’t see is he probably has his thumb in his mouth ready for night-night. Stamp the image in smoky slate and you can color it to meet your needs. I colored my image using the following Stampin Blends alcohol markers.
- Balmy blue
- Daffodil Delight
- Light Pumpkin Pie
- Light SU1000
- Dark Soft Suede
- Light Soft Suede
- Gray Granite
- Color Lifter
The sentiment, Places in your Heart, is so true when you become a mother. It applies to Grandchildren too. This card pretty simple but being a mother certainly is not. I used the new Deckled Rectangles to crop my stamped and colored image and the piece of Gray Granite. I use those dies so much that I don’t think those dies will ever be put away. The card is finished off with some linen twine and some Sold Faceted Gems in balmy blue.
