Happy belated Thanksgiving all. Hope you had a great day with family and friends and are recovered from your turkey coma. I’m here today to share a Gift Card holder with you that you can customize with a variety of products you have on hand. Mine uses the Santa Train products, but the original one I saw from Karen on the Lake Stamper used Poinsettias.
This super cute gift card holder has a fun moveable opening inside. Karen, the originator of this card, has a good video showing how to create the card. I’ve got the measurements below.
Gift Card Holder Measurements
- Outside cardstock 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 3-1/2 and 9
- Inside cardstock 4-1/8 x 7 scored at 2 and 6-1/2
- For the top flap: white cardstock 4-1/8 x 3-7/8, DSP x 3-3/4
- For the bottom flap: white cardstock 4-1/8 x 1-7/8, DSP 4 x 1-3/4
- For the inside: DSP 4 x 3-3/4
Use a circle punch or circle die to create the thumb hold. Fold up the bottom portion of the inside part and use a thin amount of liquid glue to attach the sides. Insert the inside piece of DSP under the flap. Add tear tape to the skinny portion and attach to the top flap of the outside cardstock. I found it easiest to lay the outside cardstock open and flat on the table, then lay the inside piece on the top portion lining up the edge to the score line.
Karen On the Lake Stamper where I found this gift card holder shows two different ways to decorate the outside, I chose a third way, using Santa’s Train products. Whatever you choose, your recipient will love the effort you put into creating such a fun and unique holder.
